Bimbadgen, derived from a local indigenous dialect
meaning 'a place of good view', is one of the Hunter
Valley's most picturesque wineries, identified by the
prominent Spanish bell tower situated on a hill overlooking
Bimbadgen Estate's vineyards.
The estate's 35-year-old vines produce wines from the
Hunter Valley, one of Australia's most significant and
historically important wine regions. With its open plan
design, Bimbadgen provides visitors with an insight
into the daily workings of a winery and produces a range
of premium Hunter Valley wines including Semillon, Shiraz
and Verdelho.
Bimbadgen's award-winning winery restaurant, Esca Bimbadgen,
further showcases the wines complemented by beautiful
cuisine featuring the finest in fresh Australian produce.
With its glass-fronted interior design, Esca Bimbadgen
takes advantage of a fabulous outlook over the vineyards
and creates a unique experience of dining amongst the
vines.
Also situated on the estate, nestled amongst the vines,
are the Bimbadgen Cottage and Homestead, ideal for visitors
wishing to experience living in a vineyard and explore
Hunter Valley Wine Country.
Bimbadgen is in the prestigious New South Wales Tourism
Awards' Hall of Fame after winning the Best Tourism
Winery Award for 3 consecutive years.
